Tehran is ready to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington on condition that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has announced.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue was effective, and revealed recent overtures had originated from mediators to reopen talks with the Trump administration. He said Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Iran could not yet allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit struck enrichment centers for safety concerns.

Navigating a Difficult Course

Araghchi is treading a challenging path since Iran does not want be seen to be acting from a position of vulnerability, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had emerged more resilient militarily and mentally from the coordinated strike on its atomic facilities in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to enrich uranium within its borders that it will perpetually retain" – the main reason of the impasse in the earlier negotiations.
