The European Union might “act quickly and firmly” against what it deems “unwarranted” travel bans imposed by the United States on five European individuals involved in combating digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.
EU Officials Decry US Action as ‘Coercion’
European leaders including the French president accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans were placed on figures that were at the heart of efforts to introduce laws regulating American tech companies.
